Wendell M. Kelly
Wendell M. Kelly has been a business and healthcare professional for 35 years.
His expertise and experience was developed in hospital administration for several
years with the University of Maryland Medical Systems, sales, marketing, recruitment,
and corporate management development with Johnson & Johnson for 18 years
of his professional career. Mr. Kelly has been an entrepreneur and senior consultant
in business and healthcare for the past 12 years.
During his business and healthcare career, Mr. Kelly has been active in professional and healthcare associations. He has been involved with the American Hospital Association (AMA), Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM), a board member of the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA), the National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE), the Minority Supplier Development Councils (MSDC), and corporate committees, task forces, and sessions on minority business enterprises.
Mr. Kelly’s experience with NAHSE, the Association of African American CEOs, and senior healthcare executives has broadened his expertise relative to minority healthcare business initiatives. Memberships with the Minority Supplier Development Councils have contributed to his understanding of the challenges facing minority-owned businesses. As a minority entrepreneur, Mr. Kelly understands the qualifications necessary to be classified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), and other terms used to classify “minority-owned”.
Mark Axe
Mark Axe has over 30 years of combined healthcare management experience and
over 11 years of executive level group purchasing experience. For over 18 years,
he also served in administrative and supply chain management capacity at two
hospitals for Central Ohio.
Mr. Axe currently served as Senior Director of Business Partner Relations and Contracting for Pharmaceutical Buyers, Inc., and was responsible for over 300 manufacturer relationships, accounting for over $3.2 billion in member sales. He served as Senior Director of IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) Services for AmeriNet Central and developed and coordinated IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) Services as a new market offering for AmeriNet Central, serving as its Senior Director and ultimately leading to in excess of $2.5 billion in contract sales. Prior to promotion as Senior Director of IDN Services, Mark served as Ohio Regional Manager for AmeriNet Central, increasing sales from $96 million to $2.2 billion. Mr. Axe founded, chaired, planned, and moderated AmeriNet’s annual IDN to IDN Summit. He also established and served as President of the Ohio Valley Hospital Consortium, serving as a board of four CEOs from health systems in Central and Southern Ohio. In addition, he assisted in the development of the West Virginia Hospital Consortium through West Virginia Health Services; served in a national accounts position for multi-state systems, such as Shriners’ Hospitals and Mayo Foundation; and founded and chaired the West Central Ohio Purchasing Consortium, consisting of four regional health systems from the area. In 1996 and 1997, Mr. Axe received Regional Manager of the Year awards. Mr. Axe also served as Administrative Director of Materials Management and Support Services at two Ohio based hospitals for a combined total of 18 years.
Gregory Beavers
Gregory’s sales and marketing experience has been predominantly in the Health Care and Life Sciences industries, where he held management positions with direct field sales responsibilities. While working for Amerinet, a group purchasing organization, he turned around an under-producing territory and doubled the company’s revenue from $500,000 to over $1 million over a 4-year period. At Amerinet, he was honored for exceeding sales quota each year, and for meeting quota in all 5 Amerinet product categories, including areas in pharmacy, medical-surgical, laboratory, equipment and food services.
As a Regional Sales Manager for LeadScope, a start-up software company, Gregory brought in over $500,000 in business his first year, which reflected half of the company’s revenue. Mr. Beavers also developed LeadScope’s presence in the European market while directing the growth of the company’s sales force. He was instrumental in selling the first server-based software solution for the company.
Gregory is a graduate of Knox College, and is also a founding member of the Black Alumni Association of Knox College. He has won numerous sales awards and honors throughout his career for his skills and demonstrated abilities to form partnerships with his clients. Currently, he is on the Board of Trustees for the Roxey Ballet Company, and is involved in marketing, writing grants, and coordinating various events for the company.
Gary Sullivan
Gary Sullivan has more than 24 years of experience in telecommunications management. He served almost 10 years in emergency 911 public service communications prior to moving into publicly and privately held telecommunication environments.
Mr. Sullivan served as a District Field Services Manager for Paging Network, and was responsible for the technical operations of four communication networks that spanned seven states. He managed the construction of two startup offices in St. Louis and Kansas City as well as the implementation of more than 100 transmitter sites in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. In addition to the technical responsibilities, Mr. Sullivan joined with the area vice presidents and sales teams to secure technical and large volume sales, as well as assisting with problem solving and high-level customer service.
At AAT Communications, Mr. Sullivan was responsible for the program management for nationwide projects, as well as regulatory compliance with the FCC, FAA, State Historic Preservation Officers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Native American Tribes, and local government bodies. He was responsible for due diligence efforts that resulted in the acquisition and construction of more than 650 tower sites. Mr. Sullivan managed the deployment of more than 1200 automated tower lighting monitors that reduced recurring expenses by more than $10 million dollars annually. He was also instrumental in developing the company’s technical standards and best practices, and served as AAT’s RF Safety Officer.
Roy Catalano
Roy Catalano has over 30 years of health care sales, executive management and marketing experience working with Integrated Delivery Networks, Hospitals, Long Term Care Entities, Distribution and Group Purchasing Organizations.
Mr. Catalano is the current president of HealthCare Partners, LLC a sales and marketing consulting firm which focuses on providing services to companies seeking further market penetration within hospitals, hospital systems, trade channels and group purchasing organizations.
Prior to starting HealthCare Partners, Roy served in various sales, marketing and management positions within Bayer Corporation for over 22 years. Roy began his tenure with Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a Hospital Sales Specialist and advanced within the organization serving as Divisional Sales Manager, Product Manager, Corporate Accounts Manager, Senior Accounts Manager, Area Manager and finally serving as Senior Executive for Bayer Health Care Partners where he was responsible for building strategic business alliances with health care companies in the U.S. and Europe. Over his 22 years Mr. Catalano received many awards and distinctions including; the Horst Wallrabe Excellence Award, Leadership Award, and Presidents Club award.
Roy also served as a Hospital Sales Representative for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a division of Johnson & Johnson and ranked second nationally in sales.
Mr. Catalano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from the University of New Orleans with Post Graduate Study in Biochemistry at L.S.U. Medical School. Roy was also published four times in Histochemistry during his post graduate study.
Roy serves on the board of directors for the Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina, and Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site in Colorado Springs. He is an avid outdoorsman, skiing, kayaking and hiking.
Sherri Fulp
Sherri Fulp has been involved in all aspects of the health care industry for over 15 years from clinical trials in Nuclear Medicine to developing process efficiencies while working with healthcare executives for both provider organizations and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Her background also included all sales and marketing responsibilities for Syncor International for the Mid Atlantic region of the United States and she also held similar responsibilities with Cardinal healthcare.
Ms. Fulp manages National Accounts for TRIOSE’s business development division. She works specifically with minority-owned companies helping them bring products and services to market by facilitating GPO and distribution partnerships. Currently she works with such partners as MedAssets, Home Depot Supply, and Horizon Resource Group and facilitates distribution agreements both regionally and nationally.
Her strong client relationships and attention to detail and the ability to develop useful budgeting tools for her clients is the reason for Ms. Fulp continued success.
Tom Gregory
Mr. Gregory has a strong background in results-based solutions in the television and special events production industry. Mr. Gregory secured and launched numerous key television events and production/network origination clients. He has also worked with senior level management at enterprise level corporations to develop customized video solutions based on their specific requirements. Some of those clients include IBM, Duke Energy, DoveBid, AstaZeneca, Pfizer, Qwest Communications, and both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Solely responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with major clients and the entertainment industry, designing and producing effective solutions per the clients’ requirements based on their parameters. Content storage and delivery solutions for multiple media along with archive services and disaster back up are also some of the products designed and delivered. Service specialties include remote and studio live event production, digital archiving, broadcast/transmissions and storage back-up services, Internet TV, traditional and non-linear postproduction and graphics production.
